Lokpath Charitable Trust is a not for profit voluntary social service organisation, which is registered in Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh under Indian Trusts Act, 1882. The organisation is authorised to work in all the States in India, except Jammu and Kashmir.
The organisation has been formed by social workers, students and farmers for improving continuously deteriorating condition of farmers, youth, women, labourers, old and children in the country, particularly in Bundelkhand area, bringing down cases of suicides by farmers owing to lack of food and water and debt, and ensuring access of Dalits and deprived communities to food, water and basic needs without any discrimination. 

The Lokpath Charitable Trust is continuously working for the upliftment of people and society. The organization’s efforts are to improve the people’s status and connect them with the mainstream of development to make their lives better and respectable.

At present the organisation is mainly working in Mahoba district. It plans to work in Kaushambi and Chitrakoot districts of Uttar Pradesh and Chhatarpur and Sidhi districts of Madhya Pradesh.

Major Objectives of the Trust/Organisation

To implement programmes related to the shelter, livelihood and social economic uplift of the disabled, destitute, women and children and run old age homes for welfare of the old.

To organise relief camps for helping the victims at the time of floods, drought, earthquake or other natural disasters and make collective efforts for disaster relief by motivating society and organisations for their management

To reach sustainable harmless and new agricultural techniques and good results of research to the farmers, prepare ideal models of agriculture and carry out extension for increasing income of the farmers

To conduct training centre for developing skills of women, youth, adolescents, labourers and farmers and make efforts to link them with livelihood by organising workshops, seminars and training camps

To establish ideal and useful educational institutions for equal education of children in rural and urban areas and create awareness among them child rights and laws

To promote environmental and community sanitation and make efforts to reduce inequality (religion, caste, sex, rich, poor, etc.), bad customs and superstitions prevailing in the society

Major works of Lokpath Charitable Trust include running orphanage, children’s home, old age homes, health camps, disaster relief camps, free coaching for destitute or weak children, particularly girls, providing educational material, drinking water booth during summers, drinking water booth for animals, arranging bonfire, blankets, cloth distribution, distributing grains among poor, destitute and helpless, etc., and other works as per need.

  • Agriculture and Livelihood Promotion

In the field of agriculture, animal husbandry, horticulture, small and cottage industry and technology

    • Protecting and proper management of soil and water
    • Making and promoting models of organic and sustainable farming
    • Increasing the income of farmers by increasing the production of vegetable and pulses-oilseeds by organic method
    • Linking the market activity to the farmers to get the fair value of their products
    • Identifying local products of farmers and increasing their value such as peaking processing grading by linking farmers directly to the market
    • In the field of agriculture, animal husbandry, Backyard poultry, horticulture, small and cottage industry and technology
  • Water Conservation and Promotion

Management of drought and natural disasters, availability, and management of irrigation and clean drinking water

  • Education and Skill Development

Work in rural areas for quality of education till primary and junior and mental development of children, career counseling to students acquiring higher education, skill development in the fields of agriculture and agriculture-related industries and technology, a special programme for children belonging to Scheduled Castes, deprived and nomads.

  • Awareness and Capacity Building.

Government schemes, sanitation, WASH, crop insurance, health and life insurance, democracy, Indian Constitution, gender inequality, infanticide, save girl child, the law against domestic violence, child rights, detoxication, dowry system, child marriage, etc.

  • Working Area of the Organisation.

At present, the organization is working in Mahoba district. It will try to expand its work in all the districts of Bundelkhand region in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
